The Australia and New Zealand Melanoma Trials Group (ANZMTG) was established in 1999. Its first project was to design and support a randomised Phase III trial in melanoma comparing adjuvant radiotherapy to observation in patients with resected nodal disease. Since then the ANZMTG has successfully met the target patient recruitment for this trial and is in the process of developing 4 new clinical trial protocols. The ANZMTG has recognized the need to centrally promote and support melanoma trials for investigators and consumers.

 

The ANZMTG is a member of the Cooperative Clinical Trials Groups of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA). ANZMTG is funded by Cancer Australia and the Melanoma Foundation of The University of Sydney. The ANZMTG office is currently located in the Sydney Melanoma Unit, University of Sydney. Membership is open to consumers, researchers and health professionals from Australia and New Zealand.
