About Us
Aims:
  • To bring together researchers, clinicians, health care professionals and consumers with an interest in melanoma clinical trials to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
  • To develop and support large-scale, multi-centre melanoma studies of clinical relevance and importance which would be difficult for any single centre to complete.
  • To provide a single point of contact for sponsors and investigators wishing to undertake melanoma trials in Australia and New Zealand.
Profile:
Established in 1999, ANZMTG recognised the need to centrally promote and support melanoma trials for investigators and consumers.

ANZMTG’s first project was to design and support a randomised Phase III trial in melanoma comparing adjuvant radiotherapy to observation in patients with resected nodal disease. Since then ANZMTG has successfully met the target patient recruitment for this trial. The ANZMTG is in the process of developing new clinical trial protocols and research projects.

ANZMTG is a research group within the University of Sydney and is funded by Cancer Australia. ANZMTG is a member of the Cooperative Trials Group of the Clinical Oncological Society of Australia (COSA).

ANZMTG Membership
is open to consumers, researchers, health professionals and industry representatives from Australia and New Zealand. Membership is also available to international researchers and health professionals.
